Wanted for crimes against the public domain

The Electronic Frontier Foundation, concerned about freedom of expression online, launched on June 11 the “Patent Busting Project” to denounce patents guilty of crimes against the public domain.

Their owners are threatening and filing suits against small businesses, individuals and nonprofits, not to mention the threats to free expression and innovation that each of them pose. EFF’s team of lawyers and technologists is preparing to petition the Patent and Trademark Office for revocation of these offenders’ patents.
