Chinese self-disciplinary pact

Chinese websites, ISPs and other Internet-related organisations across the country are being “invited” to sign a self-discipline pact written by the China Internet Association to protect online intellectual property rights, prevent cyber crime and the spread of anti-government information.

Last month, the government announced plans to set up a special committee whose mission is to review and ban online games breaking the constitution or threatening national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
