Wi-Fi trains

Following a successful 3-month trial on the East Coast Main Line, UK train operator GNER will extend its wireless internet service to more of its trains to create a high-speed and uninterrupted mobile office for passengers.
Thanks to satellite technology, first class passengers will be able surf the web and check mails for free, the others will have to pay 4.95 per hour. Virgin Trains is working on a similar project.
The objective is to encourage people to travel by train instead of driving or flying.
