So you thought you’re hopeless at finding your way in a foreign city?

Last month, two researchers at the University of Cambridge (UK) started working on the prototype of a photo recognition software that can match the photograph of a building to a database of images.
You’re lost? Grab your mobile phone, snap a picture of the nearest building and send it to the remote server, it will find out your location (within one metre!), which direction you are facing, then will send back instructions to get you to your destination.
