Two month ago, for reasons too long to explain here, I had to turn to a telephone booth to call my mother. I felt I was back to Middle Age.

This week, I read that Belgium is going to wave bye bye to 4,000 of the country’s telephone booths because almost everybody now calls from a mobile phone. UK has the same fate in store for some 15,000 red booths.

In front of that, I just feel tenderness towards these boxes. I wondered if somebody somewhere had had some inspiring and creative idea to use these boxes in a way that mobile phone couldn’t do.
