National Consumer Research Centre

The National Consumer Research Centre is an expert institute of the
applied consumer research. The primary duty of the National Consumer
Research Centre is to produce and dissiminate research data that can be
used to enhance the well-being of consumers and households and
strenghten their influence and decision making. Another aim is to
improve co-operation between consumers and different branches of the
economy, support the development of user-oriented technologies and
promote sustainable economic development and improve national
competitiveness.
one of the field of the centre is the research on “new technology market
and user requirements”. The research programme increases our knowledge
of the dialogue between the producers and users of technology and how
this dialogue evolves and changes in the context of the information
society and sustainable development. *The study perspective is that of
the consumers*, how they define and interpret new information technology
based on their own everyday activities.
