HumanBeans are exhibiting at the NeuroTitan gallery in Berlin through September 1.
The exhibit, titled SPAM, features fictional and provocative products conceived by the art collective between 2001 and today: Sleepweel, a sleep manager and wrist watch; the Zapparola, stun gun and mobile phone; the Karmaphone to relax, revitalise & energise your Karma; Live cigarettes that lets you smoke and collect lifepoints for treatement of smoking related diseases;
or the anti-shock, anti-theft, anti-style Power Pizza which lets you disguise your laptop inside a pizza box, etc.
Realised as short films, these products from the near-future appeal to the consumer in all of us, but should also make us consider the values instilled in the products we buy.
