Transparent Hotel Room project

Hotel Room, by Carsten Höller, will be a permanent sculpture designed to be built in the water out from the shore in Nesna (Norway).

The sculpture will be constructed from semi transparent glass and will house a hotel room, with all facilities belonging to a normal hotel room. But the walls, floor and ceiling will be transparent so that the overnight guests will experience the ocean and the surrounding nature intimately.

The project is still under development in regard of the contracts concerning the financing and the hotel business inside the sculpture.

Fantastic idea if it works along the same principles as Monica Bonvicini‘s Don’t Miss A Sec toilet.
