Broadband versus broadcast

Strategy Analytics, a British research and consulting firm, interrogated 800 European broadband users across seven countries and found that 56 per cent spend less or a lot less time watching television since subscribing to broadband, they just prefer to spend time online, rather than sitting in front of the TV.

The report advise TV programmers and service providers to face the trend by continuing to emphasize iTV services and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). Besides, the industry should include the broadband channel in their planning for future TV programming.
