The Egg, by IDII students Jennifer Bove, Thomas Stovicek and Nicholas Zambetti, is a device that communicates last-minute scheduling changes.
Your egg represents the time you have left until your next appointment. As time elapses, the light in the egg decreases. To give yourself more time to get to where you need to go, you can shake your egg, turn it upside down, and add more light. Your egg will then notify other people’s eggs that you will be late.
The Egg will be featured in the “Strangely Familiar” Tecno exhibit during the Milan Furniture Fair, April 13-18. Many of the works presented in my Strangely Familiar series ((Episodes I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII.) will be there, so if you’re around, don’t miss it.
