Snakes get tagged to ensure a pleasant move

Poisonous snakes are to be moved from the site of a new stretch of a Nortern UK motorway and fitted with radio tags to ensure they are happy in their new home, a forest 40 miles away.

Simply shifting the adders to the edge of the widened road would overpopulate the area.

The snakes will be caught while basking in the open or on artificial refuges, made from squares of roofing felt, which warm up and attract the cold-blooded reptiles.

My friend Joshua recently told me about the art project “Niet Voeren” in Artis Zoo (Amsterdam), featuring Fish ‘n’ Chips: an aquarium filled with fish carrying RFID chips, that swim through a loop to reveal their identity. We can’t find any link to more information or pictures online. Anyone else has heard of this project?
