Pleinmuseum is a mobile and flexible exhibition pavilion for public spaces.
During daytime, the pavilion remains closed and as such refers to the “white cube”, the paradigmatic model of the modernist museum. After sunset, the cube opens itself hydraulically: the 6m high, 15m long walls, when fully extended, click into place on metal floor plates within 15 minutes. The white walls become projection screens that continually take on new appearances.
Last summer, Pleinmuseum made a tour of seven cities in the Netherlands and Belgium showing the works of seven Dutch and Belgian artists. They are currently are working on an European tour.
