For what are oast buildings traditionally used?

If you’re able to answer the question, then you have a chance to “win a house for a fiver”.

A couple from Kent is selling their home via an online competition.

Applicants just have to answer the question above (so there is an element of skill involved and not a pure lottery) and pay £5 per entry but they can make as many entries as they wish, either by a credit card or PayPal on the website, or by cheque.

Closing date for the competition is 14 August 2004, and the draw will be made on 16 August.

They aim to raffle £270,000 and if they fail to sell the house by then the winner will get all the money collected minus 10 per cent for marketing costs and legal fees.
