Artist Peter Gomes will be walking and drawing on Deptford High Street during Deptford X, an arts festival in South East London.

His work, called “SE8 v1.0“, will be a GPS, chalked plan drawing, in Deptford, on market day.

He’ll be marking, lines boundaries, times and co-ordinates directly onto the street, and will also mark a physical outline of a boundary that designates the centre of Deptford, that only usually exists on a map.

He will discuss his work on Saturday 26 afternoon, at Goldsmiths College Lewisham Way, New Cross.

It starts this week-end at 10,00. Go and have a look if you are in the area before its work is washed down by the rain.
