D.J. SMS

Shazam leader in music recognition technology, has launched yesterday its service in the United States.
Since the introduction of the service last August in the UK, music fans use their mobile phone to identify any track. Users can then download the ringtone, send a Songmail to a friend or buy the CD from the ‘Tag List’ on the website. In the UK alone, consumers have already ‘tagged’ over 2 million tracks. Other Asian, Oceanian and European countries (Greece, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland) have welcomed the service. In Italy, it is called D.J. SMS (the service will soon be available).
