Car system that recognizes approaching pedestrians

Honda Motor has developed the world’s first pedestrian-warning system that uses ”far infrared” cameras to detect the infrared radiation emitted from pedestrians’ body at night and gives the driver visual and audio cautions to prevent pedestrian-related accidents.

The Intelligent Night Vision System will be available on the Honda Legend car models to be released in Japan this fall.
