Bits on Location

Bits on Location was the diploma thesis of Aram Bartholl. This research attempted to connect, through a series of examples, the digital content from locationless global data networks to physical space.

How does the data universe integrate itself into our physical and material world? What effect does the locating of data have on people‘s communication and social relationships?

Though it was made in 2001, it’s still an amusing (don’t miss project/localization) and sometimes very insightful read.
