T63 Artemis shines lights and emits alarms if it spots any worrying activity, detects and memorizes car license plates it finds in the area, reports back wirelessly to security HQ and is armed with video cameras and several non-lethal offensive weapons such as a fluorescent paintball gun and the capability to spray a cloud of mist to temporarily blind the intruder.

“We want to continue experiments on indoor and outdoor security robots, hopefully setting them up throughout the country if we can make them practical enough,” developer Yasuaki Hiyama said.
