The first channel dedicated exclusively to ads will be launched in September, allowing British viewers to revel in their favourite spots for Guinness and nappies. But Advert Channel will also air a game show, behind-the-scenes documentaries on how ads are created and phone polls to find out the nation’s favourite ads and TV shows.
Plus, viewers will also get the chance to make their own ads.
The channel expects to generate revenue by charging viewers to take part in phone polls and to download ads on to their mobile phones. And broadcast nine minutes of paid advertising every hour.
