Klein Dytham new installation

Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein, studied architecture in London, left for a 3 month tour of Japan and stayed there. Klein Dytham architecture is creating gorgeous buildings (one of the most spectacular is the Garden Chapel and I previously blogged their installation at Bloomberg ICE Space) and are back in London Architectural Association Gallery for an exhibit from 19 February till 18 March.

The communal bath house was for many years the heart of gossip in Japan, a hub of information. Though in decline, they still act as a place for socialising. The Bath House is being used as a theme to display the work of Klein Dytham Architecture.

Two bath houses – one male, one female – are tiled and fitted with sunken baths. Virtual water and images of Klein Dytham’s work is projected onto the interiors.

No picture found. Yet another reason to go to London.
