Theyworkforyou is offering British citizens the ability to keep an eye on their local MP and debates in Parliament.

Every day, the previous days debates and written answers are uploaded on the website into a format that’s easy to follow and comment by users.

Theyworkforyou is also an index of all MPs. Voters can enter their postcode to find their local MP and send a fax to them, check the register of their interests, see how often they rebel against the party and how many times they have spoken in the past year. It is even possible to subscribe to an RSS feed that will immediately update every time the MP appears in Parliament.

Theyworkforyou.com has been created by a team whose previous projects include The Public Whip, Fax Your MP, MySociety, and b3ta.

The site launched two days ago at NotCon04, and the creators implored the audience to “play with it, link to it, use it”.
