U.S. technology firm National Scientific Corporation today announced a Wi-Fi enabled version of its IBUS school bus passenger authentication system.
The tracking system includes an ID card reader and a GPS unit to provide time and location information. The new Wi-Fi enabled system tracks the location of the buses and logs students boarding or disembarking from the vehicle. A series of strategically located Wi-Fi access points securely transmits that data from the bus to the school’s online student database.
