Last Friday, astronaut Mike Fincke, who is two months into a six-month space mission, listened from orbit to the birth of his daughter. Fincke was connected via a NASA-arranged radio hookup to his wife’s mobile phone in the delivery room. NASA also set up two video conferences for the family in the hours after the birth to give Fincke a chance to see his second child.
