Cybernetics, an American company which technology permits the creation of direct and bi-directional interfaces between the brain, nervous system and a computer is developping BrainGate that wil allow people (disabled ones at first) to control devices by the mere power of their thought. So far, the technology was tried on monkeys, but during the human testing phase, volunteers will get 4mm microchips implanted on the surface of their brain. About 100 functions will be on test, ranging from turning on lights, kettles or drawing curtains.
As long as it’s always the person who has the control over the machine and not the opposite…
