The poetry robot trip

E.L.I., or the Electro-Linguistic Imaginator, is a roaming poet that records the words and phrases people introduce into his database to translate them into poetry.

This month, the robot has embarked with 2 artists in a “E.L.I. Heartland Tour,” stopping in cities across the US to engage in a series of impromptu performances.

The robot, created at the University of Georgia, learns its words from the people it meets and randomly turn them into poems, which come out on stickers as gifts for the public.
