Podcast. Episode 1, Trevor Paglen about PSYOPS and unidentified objects in the night sky

I’ve done countless interviews with artists where we talk about their latest and upcoming projects. And I’ve had countless informal conversations with artists where they told me all sorts of amusing, terrible or astonishing anecdotes about their past works: how they brought insane ideas to life, how they sometimes got into troubles, how they overcame unexpected problems, etc. When Aksioma suggested we’d do a podcast together, i thought it would give us an opportunity to bring these narratives to light, to sit down with the artists and look at what they have achieved over the years. It was immensely fun and enlightening. I hope you will enjoy the podcast!

The episodes are released every Friday. Starting today with Trevor Paglen. We talked about psy-ops, manipulating perceptions, unidentified objects in the night sky, obscure military insignia and what an artist can say when the police stop them.

After Paglen, my guests will be Nora Al-Badri, UBERMORGEN, Jill Magid, Paolo Pedercini from Molleindustria, Evan Roth, !Mediengruppe Bitnik, Sanela Jahić, Pinar Yoldas and Maja Smrekar. They’ve all had solo shows at Aksioma in the past.

Thank you all for being so generous, engaging and relentlessly inspiring!
