The Norwegian company, Opera Software is to launch a speech-recognition technology , relying on IBM’s ViaVoice technology, for its desktop browser in a first stage, and later for mobile phones and PDAs.
The functionality could be used to navigate, request information and fill in online forms.
The opera browser is free, and an ad-free version is offered for circa 32 Euros.
