The Skype software that already allows some 10 million users to make free worldwide computer phone calls has developped PocketSkype that lets people on the move to make phone calls with their handheld computers. PocketSkype works like the desktop version, but reaches the Internet through Wi-Fi “hot spots” in houses, airports, hotels or shops.
For the time being, the system is designed only for PDAs using Microsoft PocketPC. Versions for Palm or Symbian software are still in progress.
