Hide your password in public

Hidden in public, Passwort FM solves the problem of password-management, but also satisfies a basic voyeurism.

Through the website you can submit your passwords and state a time-stamp (in minutes after the hour). It is then translated (text-to-speech), automated and broadcasted every hour on the time stated. Because nobody can know that this is YOUR password or what the purpose is, this seemingly paradoxical way of storing something very secret in public space (global as webradio, and local through mini-FM) can be considered safe; with a natural user’s responsibility, of course. As more passwords are being submitted the station slowly fills with these “lyrics”.

This project by Sasker Scheerder (NL) and Olaf Matthes (D) is present at the Garage festival, so any password entered on the website will be broadcasted on 98.1 FM in the Stralsund city area until August 14 and is also available as webradio.
