A digital file marketplace

Bitmunk is a (beta version) website that allows people from all over the world to trade peer-to-peer files. Bitmunk actually pays users to distribute music or films while ensuring a cut for the artists.

Their system allows any artist to list their songs for sale, associating a royalty with each song or album. No matter who sells the work on Bitmunk, the artist always gets the royalty deposited directly into their bank account.

Bitmunk will be available for free use for the next several months, to get feedback from consumers, artists and labels, and eventually tailor the best possible service that will solve the peer-to-peer dilemma.
