Last month, security experts claimed to have discovered Cabir, the first worm that infects phones running the Symbian operating system and spreads via Bluetooth.
Now it seems that virus writers have created another virus to demonstrate that Pocket PCs and smartphones running Microsoft Windows CE are not immune either.
Called WinCE4.Dust, the worm displays a message box, asking for user’s permission to spread to other files.
Just like Cabir, WinCE4.Dust is not meant to spread but is just a “proof of concept code.”
