Disappointing sales induced Siemens AG to drop the Xelibri phones seasonal collection. Born in January 2003, the line was designed for fashion-conscious users wanting a second phone as a stylish accessory.
Nevertheless, the company will continue to target the fashion segment with handsets under its own name.
For example, Siemens has recently introduced on the market a limited edition of the SL55 with luxury goods firm Escada, with a silk cord turning the handset into an accessory.
