Yaskawa Electric‘s MOTOMAN-DA20 industrial robot can tighten bolts with one arm while lifting parts with another. It has six joints in one arm, each of which has miniature motors and brakes for freer movement. Using both arms, it can lift bulky objects weighing up to 40kg.
The robot, the size of the upper part of the human body, is expected to replace people at some assembly plants, relieving the shortage of young workers in Japan’s graying society.
Please, give him a head!
