A clock that speeds up when you do, wakes you up only when it’s sunny and mirrors how much is going on around you

The dial movements of the 4 Part Clock reflect the environment in which its networked sensors are placed. It is composed of three sensors and one old alarm clocks all networked together to create a cohesive 4 parts piece.

All the sensor levels are controlling the various dials on the clocks face. The alarm’s hour and minute’s hand move according to the human activity in the room while the seconds hand reflects the electronic activity by measuring the electromagnetic frequency in the room. The alarm is linked to the external environment, ringing periodically in response to the amount of sunshine outside.

As the clock is networked to its sensors, the clock can be placed in any location, its sensors in another.

For example, if this clock were in your home and its sensors at work: If the clocks hands on the main face were moving crazily you might not wish to enter the space (thus the office) in which its sensors are moving. Its sensors are constantly processing the data so the clock changes its motion on regular intervals to match its environment in real time.

This clock is a reflection of interest in the ways one defines time and space.
