The fastest Mac on wheels

Apparently I missed this one:

Czech wiz Jirka Jirout drives a perfectly integrated computer-car: he can start his car’s heater remotely by sending it an SMS; follow his GPS map on an in-dash LCD while passengers on the back seat can watch films on an screen or surf the Web on a laptop plugged into the center armrest’s Ethernet hub, each person listening to different audio streams.
At a stoplight, Jirout can grab the wireless keyboard to check e-mails or use the Bluetooth connection to update his mobile phone’s calendar.

The brain is a disemboweled Apple G4 packed into a fiberglass case in the trunk. A custom wood-and-leather dashboard accommodates a seven-inch LCD, a Griffin Powermate controller dial, and programmable buttons that let him call up a map or start an MP3 playlist with out taking his eyes off the road. There’s a GPS unit and mapping software, as well as a Wi-Fi card and GPRS (through the mobile phone) for a near-constant Internet connection. The control software he wrote makes all the programs work together.

And while we’re on people mad about Mac, La Petite Claudine (via Beverly who reblogged it from Ashley) found this “Geek Girl Warrior” outfit.

I still prefer the Nintendo Controller Hot Pant.
