Each week, millions of dollars of trucks, trailers and their merchandise are stolen in the U.S.
A system, combining GPS and wireless technologies and manufatured by CSI Wireless Inc has allowed the Texas police to recover more than US$2.7 million of stolen goods — including 24 truck tractors and 26 trailers, plus cargo — and progress in their investigation on a Dallas-area truck-theft ring.
The Asset-Link units were installed on suspects’ vehicles and led police to several sites where they recovered stolen trucks, trailers and merchandise.
