A study carried out by security solutions provider Network Associates revealed that 88 % of Japanese mobile device users are concerned about wi-fi security.
Besides more than half of the persons surveyed plans to change operator in order to gain some additional security and 78% would like to have some kind of control over their children’s mobile phones.
The growing capabilities of handsets make them the more vulnerable to security flaws, such as virus, ‘spam’ and hacking. So device manufacturers and operators should focus on security systems in order to meet their clients’ preoccupations.
