The reacTable allows collaborative performances by professional musicians without the limits of many screen-based interfaces. The table is played by manipulating a set of objects placed on top of it.

Each object has its own function for the generation, modification or control of sound. Bringing these objects into proximity with each other builds up and plays the instrument. The table is equipped with sensors to identify and track the objects, the players do not have to wear any controller devices. The reacTable* provides also visual feedback by projecting a visualisation of the sound-flow onto the table surface.
