In 1972, Italian designer Mario Bellini presented a mobile micro-living environment called Kar-a-Sutra at the “New Domestic Landscape” exhibition held at the MOMA, in New York. The bus-like structure of the vehicle had an open interior filled with couches and cushions for a reclined ride.
