In Mexico, kidnapping is rampant, crime fighting is a dangerous business and the country has seen a surge in violent crime recently.
Attorney General Rafael Macedo declared on Monday that himself and a number of his staff had been fitted with chips that will give them exclusive and secure access to a national, computerized database for crime investigators and that would also enable them to be traced if they are abducted.
Now that Mexican criminals know about it, I wonder what could prevent them to go on with their kidnapping business as usual, take a knife and remove the chip.
