In the Heaven’s Eye installation, you can move a monitor placed on the floor with its face and manipulate its content. The part of the moving image you see corresponds to the position of the monitor as if there is a huge image hidden below the floor. If you move the monitor toward right, you will see right part of the movie, if forward, then you will see forward part of the movie.
The movie shows people walking by in a city, it was shot like peering down on them from high above. Users can choose someone in the crowd and try to chase him or her, feeling like a god.
Most of the people like to observe other people secretly. But it means that you may also be observed by someone else which is much less comfortable. This work reminds you the anxiety we always have in this world of technology.
