German pop band Super Smart launched its new album in ringtone format for mobile phones. And only in ringtone!
The aim of the action was to avoid interference from major labels, but their strategy also created lots of attention in the media.

The introductory price fior the album is 1,99 euros.

Phone ringtones are big business, most pop hits can be downloaded as ringtone for 2,25 to 5,25 euros.
