Today I am at the conference Geoware – Information in Places at Aros art museum in Aarhus, Denmark. The conference is about the uses of context-aware technologies and services. There will be a live webcast of the entire event starting at 10:00 today, so you can all tune in and watch the speakers and post questions live as well. Use this link.
One speaker I am looking forward to is Nicolas Nova blogging his thoughts on Pasta and Vinegar. About Dr. Nova and his work:
“Nicolas Nova (was) is a Ph.D. student at the CRAFT (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne) working on the CatchBob! project. His current research is directed towards the understanding of how people use location-awareness information when collaborating in mobile settings, with a peculiar focus on pervasive games.”
Nicolas just defended his Ph.D. thesis this Monday and this is his first presentation of that work. You can read more about his thesis and download slides from his blog here.
Accompanying the speakers are some exciting prototypes that I will post more about later today.
UPDATE: Those who didn’t catch the live webcast from Geoware today. I can inform you that all the speaker presentations with slides will be available during the next two weeks from the Innovation Lab website. I will update this post with a link to the OnDemand webcast soon.
