From ‘97, self-educated sewing and knitting artist Pyuupiru creates costumes that convey his delusional and obsessive-compulsive world view. But the mirror ball monster, three-eyed bear, and other objets d’art are not complete until Pyuupiru dons them and carries out performances.

Btw, readers of the blog who venture outside their news reader might know Pyuupiru already: he was involved as creative director and model in the vodka campaign that graces wmmna these days.

His works are currently shown at the Yokohama Triennale in Japan, through December 18.
