The first is from photographer Ebru Erülkü and it’s part of Beijing Case, cultural aspects of the high speed urbanization in China, on show at the ZKM in Karlsruhe until January 7, 2007.

Number 2 is by Sze Tsung Leong -discovered while visiting Spectacular City in Rotterdam- who has also been documenting the dramatic urban changes that have transformed the cities throughout the country.

The third photo, by Michel Reynolds, shows cooling towers as they appear from a narrow Beijing street.
