Burdines-Macy’s stores in Florida and communication provider Sprint came up with a concept that mixes online shopping with the service of a personal shopper.
Five personal shoppers armed with video phones patrol the stores to locate a product requested by the client and sends him a video clip via e-mail. The client views the clips on his PC and can buy it without moving from his chair.
Among Sprint business clients are lawyers who snap witnesses at depositions or electricians taking pictures on the job to get help from the home office on repairs.
