Spanish Fundación Chabrera has decided to rely on free softwares in order to boost its program of computer recycling and donation. The fact that they wouldn’t have to buy or ask for licence would allow the Foundation to reach more people.
The “Recycling with Art” project tries to help young people develop their artistic skills and get to know new technologies. The new machines to be donated will run Linux and include free drawing and digital image software.
The Foundation is also preparing a CD to distribute for free operating systems and tools of open code.
