Last year, sound artist Erik Bünger created “Let them sing it for you” for the internet-based art channel SRC of the Swedish National Radio.

You just type lyrics of a song on the “Let them sing it for you” website and pop stars, from Judy Garland to Christina Aguilera (and Robbie? do they have Robbie Williams?), will sing it for you. A database of sung words has been built up and is growing through the users’ own interaction. If a word is missing in the sound vocabulary, you can suggest a song from which to take the word and send your suggestion. The result is quite amusing as each word comes with a different voice and tone.

A swedish version with sound clips taken from swedish top 40 songs is to be launched this month.
