Children are very technologically aware, they surf on the net and have a mobile phone at a very young age. In UK, some 90% of 11-16 year olds have a mobile.

BBC chose to adapt its programme accordingly and has made the content from Newsround, the news programme targetted at children, available on WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).

With CBBC Search, children will be able to search content on CBBC website, ‘family friendly’ BBC and external sites.
