Telematics Research Group, provider of analysis on the vehicle telematics industry, published a report that states that the number of US car models featuring telematic components has doubled since 2001.

Telematics are the wireless devices in the dashboard, they range from GPS navigation systems to satellite radio and integrated mobile phones. Phone-related technologies will keep taking importance in the sector, because of the blast of smart mobile devices.
